If you’re interested in cloud-native CI/CD and Tekton but haven’t had a chance to get hands-on with the technology yet, the KubeCon Europe Virtual event provides an opportunity to do that. Tekton is a powerful and flexible open source framework for creating cloud-native CI/CD pipelines. It integrates with Kubernetes and allows developers to build, test, and deploy across multiple cloud providers and on-premises clusters as shown in Figure 1.

On Monday, 17 August 2020, from 16:55 - 18:15 CEST, Jan Kleinert and Joel Lord will lead a hands-on tutorial focused on cloud-native CI/CD with Tekton. This tutorial will begin with an introduction to cloud-native CI/CD and the fundamental concepts and benefits of Tekton. After that introduction, you'll participate in hands-on exercises to practice with Tekton steps, tasks, resources, and pipelines through both “Hello World” and more realistic examples. You will also get an introduction on how to use the Tekton Pipelines VS Code extension.

Start learning more about CI/CD and Tekton today, and register for KubeCon Europe 2020 Virtual to attend the tutorial. This is just one of the many sessions presented by Red Hatters at KubeCon Europe. You can find the full list here, along with information about the Red Hat booth, demo theatre, the Open Source Arcade, and more.
