The world of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) is on the brink of a transformative leap, and Red Hat is committed to the future of open-source technologies in AI and ML. This December, the AI.dev: Open Source GenAI & ML Summit, hosted by The Linux Foundation, marks a significant milestone in the AI & ML community, and promises to be a melting pot of ideas, innovations, and collaborations.

Aimed to be "a nexus for developers delving into the intricate realm of open source generative AI and machine learning", the event will host hands-on sessions & breakouts covering the latest open source AI tools and frameworks. Red Hat is proud to be involved in the event through the participation of our developer advocacy team.

Red Hat at AI.dev

At the AI.dev Summit, Cedric Clyburn will be delivering a workshop entitled "Empowering Collaboration: AI Developer Experience - Your Bridge from Model to Production." Clyburn, a prominent developer advocate at Red Hat, will explore the synergy between data scientists and developers, emphasizing open-source tools like Jupyter, Ray, Kserve, Kubernetes, and Backstage. This session promises to be a deep dive in bridging the gap from AI model development to production, highlighting the importance of MLOps and GenOps in today’s tech landscape.

Red Hat and Open Source AI

Red Hat underscores its commitment to open-source AI and ML through initiatives like the Open Data Hub project, integrating tools such as Jupyter notebooks, TensorFlow, and PyTorch on the Red Hat OpenShift platform. This approach not only equips developers with powerful, flexible AI tools but also fosters a community-driven innovation environment, demonstrating Red Hat’s role in propelling the future of open-source AI technologies.

Wrapping Up

The AI.dev Summit is set to be a landmark event for AI and ML enthusiasts. Clyburn’s session, in particular, stands out for those eager to dive into the world of open-source generative AI and learn more about the developer experience working in a cloud-native landscape. As we approach this exciting event, the tech community anticipates the new developments that AI.dev will unveil.
