Building portable cloud applications with Quarkus, Azure Radius, Skupper, and Backstage

In this tech talk, Philip will introduce the following technologies and demonstrate how you can use them to build, deploy, and connect applications in a data center and Azure:

• Quarkus, a Kubernetes-native Java framework tailored for GraalVM and HotSpot, crafted from best-of-breed Java libraries and standards.
• Backstage, a centralized software catalog that brings order to infrastructure and enables teams to ship high-quality code quickly—without compromising autonomy.
• Skupper, a layer 7 service interconnect that enables secure communication across Kubernetes clusters with no VPNs or special firewall rules. With Skupper, applications can span clouds, data centers, and regions.
• Microsoft Azure Radius, a cloud-native application platform that enables developers and the platform engineers who support them to collaborate on cloud-native applications that follow corporate best practices for cost, operations, and security.
