Ashok Pon Kumar is a Manager and Research Lead at IBM Research India. He manages the Hybrid Cloud Platforms team and leads research on replatforming for IBM. He is the creator of Konveyor Move2Kube, which is part of the Konveyor community. In his 14 years in IBM, he has lead multiple research efforts spanning Hybrid Cloud, AI for jewellery, cognitive environments, software engineering and smarter energy.
He has also been awarded the Master Inventor award, Outstanding Technical Achievement Award and many other recognitions in IBM. He also has multiple patents, publications and book chapters in various domains. Before joining IBM, he graduated from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai.
