Abstract
We will host a Java user group meetup in Madrid where Marc Nuri Software Engineer at Red Hat will give a talk on "Local development of Java applications on Kubernetes".In this talk, we will see how to use a new feature of Eclipse JKube to improve our development experience with Kubernetes. "remote-dev" which is how this new feature is called, allows us to program our application from the local environment as if it were just another container in the cluster. If we combine this with technologies like Quarkus that allow us to program the application live, we can get instant feedback on the behavior of our application when it is integrated with other components. During the demo, Marc will show us how we can use this with different frameworks and technologies even beyond Java.
