DevOps, GitOps, and Argo CD
DevOps is a set of practices that speed up application development while managing infrastructure and application configuration. According to the annual State of DevOps Report, organizations that practice DevOps discover significant improvements to the rate of innovation in applications, code, and stability.
GitOps takes the philosophies and approaches that drive the DevOps culture and provides a framework to achieve results, utilizing Git repositories as a single source of truth for declarative infrastructure.
Many tools combine to build a GitOps framework, such as Git repositories, Kubernetes, configuration management, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD). CI/CD is where Argo CD comes in.
Workshops and Red Hat resources for GitOps
The final day of ArgoCon 2022 will include workshops hosted by ArgoCon sponsors. Red Hat will also host an in-person DevNation GitOps workshop at our office in Sunnyvale on September 21.
