What’s DevConf?
DevConf is a series of community-driven, free-to-attend conferences for developers, admins, and other technology professionals who use and/or contribute to open source projects. Sponsored by Red Hat, these conferences aim to provide attendees with a platform to share knowledge, learn from experts, and celebrate open source culture. DevConf.US is one of the multiple events in this series, held annually in Boston, USA. The conference covers a broad spectrum of topics, including the latest trends in software development, infrastructure management, artificial intelligence, and more.
DevConf’s Themes and Tracks
DevConf.US 2024 will feature a diverse array of themes and tracks, reflecting the current and emerging trends in the industry:
- Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, and Hyperscale Infrastructure: Discussions will focus on Kubernetes, high availability systems, large data centers, private clouds, infrastructure management, and virtualization.

How to attend DevConf?
Attending DevConf.US 2024 is completely free, but registration is required. To register, visit the DevConf.US website and grab an attendee ticket. The conference will be held at Boston University, and detailed travel information can be found here. Regarding the conference schedule, it contains full information about the keynotes, sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities spread over three days during August 14-16th. Located in the center of campus, the George Sherman Union (GSU) will be the primary venue for DevConf.US, and a detailed map can be found below at Figure 1:
