    Red Hat Developer Hub serves as an enterprise platform designed to optimize the developer experience. Leveraging Backstage, an open source project under the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), Developer Hub provides a bespoke, unified environment where developers can access important tools, resources, and documentation for efficient application development and deployment.

    RHDH offers support across Red Hat OpenShift, AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and Google GKE and integrates with a wide range of DevOps tools, including GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Jenkins, and PagerDuty. This broad information hub facilitates greater collaboration and enables self-service actions that keep developers productive throughout their working day (and night).

    What's New in Red Hat Developer Hub 1.8

    RHDH is now based on Backstage 1.42. This release has many important features and enhancements, here are the most notable:

    • [New] New Scorecard plugin provides insights into project health and compliance metrics (TP)
    • [New] MCP Server in Red Hat Developer Hub for catalogs and techdocs (DP)
    • [New] Persona based Homepage and user customization (DP)
    • [New] Localization support and French Language support (TP)
    • [New] Openshift AI Connector for Red Hat Developer Hub syncs AI assets with RHDH (DP)
    • [New] Developer Lightspeed is now based on Llama-stack for greater flexibility (DP)
    • [New] RHDH Dynamic Plugin Factory to help with plugin development (DP)
    • [Enhancement] More detailed Extensions plugin information and clearer support status
    • [Enhancement] RHDH Local has new built-in guides, docs & more features on by default
    • [Docs] Additional documentation on migrating Backstage plugins to RHDH dynamic plugins
    • [Docs] Add Orchestrator documentation to the RHDH docs
